What is Ganth's rule set going to be? Which one of the serveral great OSR games should I use to further develop Ganth?
Ganth is being prepared for a major shake up, I am going to go gangbusters all over Ganth and really get focused on some stuff. But I am having a hard time deciding which Rule Set to use.
So maybe a poll?
But then do I want to be locked into a poll?
Will I fill guilty if I ignore a poll and just go with something else?
What do you guys want to see? (And Gals? Do I have any female readers?)
Should I have a poll for a poll?
Hah! I don't know....
Another thought...
I have been considering the 1st ever Chronicles of Ganth contest!!!!
More to come!
You can use the poll and when you discover the one that won doesn't feel right and the you were secretly hoping the third choice won, but did not tell yourself, then you'll know.

ReplyDeleteMy two cents:
ReplyDelete1) If you want to have the most flexibility, use Labyrinth Lord because it is really easy to pick and choose various parts of several excellent installments of the Goblinoid Games line, including Mutant Future and (soon) Starships and Spacemen.
2) If you want to have the easiest time writing articles, modules, etc. use Swords & Wizardry. Having played around with both LL and S&W, I have found that writing up adventures and stat blocks for S&W is much easier and faster (though some may quibble).
3) If you want to have something that adheres most closely to an AD&D feel go with OSRIC. LL and S&W are both great, but they don't quite scratch the AD&D itch (if you happen to have one).
Due to the fact that I tend to import a lot of sci-fi elements into my games, I generally go with option 1 because flexibility becomes more important.
