Delays, Rages and Rants

I will be the first one to say, delays suck, but it would seem some folks get really upset about certain groups or individuals that delay their projects.

I have a terrible habit of delaying promised articles, however I am not "selling" anything here, the site is free, and I don't even bug y'all with adverts or pay pal pleas...Hells Nine Bells, I don't even want compensation for any art work I may do for folks.

I know I may be a bit late to the game with this, but I really am not to concerned with the delays of late from certain unnamed individuals and or groups. I have seen that the ones I am most interested in have been very forthcoming about why this or that project is delayed. So as long as we are getting some bit of info, who cares. Right?

Well maybe not, sometimes excuse after excuse get old, and when your kickstarter raised several tens of thousands of dollars you may need to be a bit more forthcoming for the reasons for the delay, being responsible and what not.

I added a "Table of Contents" to my blog, its over to the right----->, a while back to help me keep on track, of course this blog is not a job for me, nor do I want it to become one so I am slow in getting info out. I'm a full time student, dad of four kids, Husband, and to be truthful, the real world must have priority in my life. I would love to be able to blog and game for hours on end, but I can't...I have responsibilities.

And while I fill its important to continue to write for this blog, because I have a really great group of readers, I am not offering you, my readers, any of this for a fee. It's all free, all I ask is don't steal my names of people places and things, pure honesty is required in that, as I really have no trademarks in this.

However if I was offering a buyable service, should I not keep my consumers happy? That's just good and honest capitalism right? Right, of course it is.

So yes I am a little bugged by folks that offer little or no info for their delays, it pisses me off, I shell out good money, money that could be used to spoil my kids, and I have to wait for an undisclosed amount of time, to hear anything. It lacks responsibility.

Sure I understand we all have real lives here in the Niche of a Niche we OSR folks dwell in, but come on....

So has anyone I have supported been irresponsible? Naw, I have been more than pleased. Both FGG and Gobliond have been great keeping me updated.

And since I never kickstarted Dwimmermount, well I am just waiting and really can't say much there, other than I am super excited, regardless of some complaints I have read about, both with JamesM's delay and his work as a writer when it comes to Dwimmermount and its empty rooms, of which I really have no issue...maybe I need to save that for another day?
