If I had all the time in the World...

BFRPG Day had me begin to wander as to what I would like to do, if I could  (A) Overcome my Gamer ADD (B) Stop being so lazy and (C) had more time.

What I have been considering is how to get use out of all my OSR games and the like.

I have been considering that it would be really kewl if I ran a setting or campaign with each OSR game I own. So basically each rule set would become a world or setting that I would use exclusively. (EDIT: I forgot Labyrinth Lord...what am I an idiot?!?!?!)

Labyrinth Lord: At one time LL was the Home for Ganth, then I moved it to OSRIC and now on to S&W, but that left LL in the cold...no not at all. LL has a home in my LL campaign with the kids, loosely based on "Adventure Time" and with a few touches of Mutant Future it has worked really well. The Post Apocalyptic Fantasy World is a blast with the kids and to be truthful it would be time to get another adventure going!

Swords & Wizardry: The Home rule set for Ganth. For now on Ganth will be played using the Swords & Wizardry Rules. I love the new book, the Monstrosities book is incredible and as I was a Kickstarter supporter I will be getting a lot of neat swag...one day *sigh* I hate PDF's.

Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG: I now  this may not be an OSR game by some accounts but I consider it one. I like DCC, it's a solid game with some great twists and turns, However it does not lend itself well to my style of play when it come to Ganth. So what to do? Night Below: An Underdark Campaign, awesome. To me the two marry up really well, I would love to run this.

Dark Dungeons/Rules Cyclopedia: MYSTARA! Hands Down no questions asked. I really could not think of anything better to do this with. Chances are I will do this with the kids. I loved Mystara  for years and was always upset it never had much of a revival. I am aware of the Mystara stuff out their and I even follow Bruce Heard's stuff so I'm happy with this, very much so.

Basic Fantasy Role Playing Game: Final Fantasy, This has really been on my mind, no not the newr stuff and not really any of the traditional games. I love Final Fantasy Tactics, I played that game for years, and to be truthful I still would if I could. I loved the Job Class system and all the great enemies. But the story had be all the way it was EPIC. I would have to build alot, I would want to emulate the classes and I would so import the Setting. I would stat out the monsters and such...make it very Human focused. Would be a blast just to work on.

OSRIC/1e: The former home of Ganth, OSRIC may be the new home of a campaign/setting I have been mulling over for years. I have been wanting to run a straight up Greyhawk campaign and can think of no better rules set to use. I have begun of late searching for a good kicking of point, I have been doing a bit of research but nothing to heavy yet. May never happen, but you never know.

Blood & Treasure Complete: I have given this a bit of thought and I think running a game that brings back old PC's from me a Sean's Forgotten Realm's days, going so far as to play in the realms. Much of our early ideas for Ganth were born out of those Realm adventures and it would be fun to "update" old PC's and play them again. B&T lends itself pretty well to both early 1e and 3e style play so I could really have a blast with it.

Mutant Future: This is something I do have time for. The boys love the Fallout games so I have begun working on a Fallout campaign for them, they both want to be Vault Dwellers and basically play in the same area as the Fallout 3 game. I am really excited about this.

Starships & Spacemen: Star Trek, the ERIC! reboot, so I am so gonna J.J. Abrams for a Star Trek campaign. I am a huge fan of his Star Trek Universe and want to do my own "reboot". Their are aspects of Trek I find silly. Therefore I have been doing some lore changes and a lot of research and watching Star Trek shows I have never been interested in. I want to save what I am doing for a larger post so until then, if your a Trekkie, don't get to mad a t me.

Rotworld: I have had a little bit of trouble getting a hang of the Pacesetter system but I think I got it...math...Anyway I want to do a series of games that cover a lot of the "thought" experiments me and my friends have done over the years. Zombies will be of the virus sort, more like "I am Legend" or "28 Days Later" than "Dawn of the Dead" or even the "Walking Dead". No extremely rotted or destroyed corpses, no truly "living Dead" type of zombies. I'm setting it in the New York area and will be using Google maps for much of the research I need. This may turn into some one shot stuff, or if it works could be quite fun as a regular campaign.

Stars without Number: For the last few years me and my brother, who was a player before sports got in the way...sports..., have been doing a bit of discussion as to what we would want out of a Sci Fi series both book and game wise. SwN is perfect for what I would want done as we both would like a Hard Science Fiction setting. The only time we butt heads is when it come to having aliens or not. My brother wants all kinds I don't want any at all...

X-Plorers: I really need to finish my Explorers on Dinosaur Planet adventure, not that I would ever get a chance to run it, but it is something I really have enjoyed working on. On top of that it has been waiting to be finish for what more than a year now...I'm a horrible blogger...

Castles & Crusades: As a Arkansas native I had to be a fan of C&C, The Trollords, as slow as they seem to be, put out a great product. I own not only C&C but also Star Siege  which I found in a Game Shop up in Spokane, Washington. Anyway I have no real idea what I could do with C&C, I really hav'nt gave it alot of thought and only recently picked up the GM's guide. Maybe I should check out their campaign setting?

Adventurer, Conqueror, King: Kingmaker, the Pazio/Pathfinder Adventure Path...Yes I want to do that...really bad...it's killing me...I love Kingmaker and ACKs fit really well with the style of the Adventure Path. It would so be a blast to run, and since I am so done with the Pathfinder Bloat, yes Pathfinder is a bloated 3.x mess, sorry it's just opinion, least i'm not bashing the 5e bloat already happening, and that game ain't even out yet...WHAT THE PISS am I doing! Crap! I am getting to be a bit cranky in my old age....Back to point, ACKS would serve well in my all time favorite Adventure Path.

What follows next really isn't "OSR" I would say but they are classics...

Elfquest: I love this game, and played it for a few years, I would love to return to it and run a few games again.

Mechwarrior/Battletech: I want to do a couple of games, I know Nick is a huge Battletech fan...

Shadowrun: This is a possibility, I like the new rules, but it would be just as kewl to do a "Savage Worlds" conversion...hhhhmmm....

TMNT/After the Bomb: We did a one shot a few months ago, it was fun, but I HATE character creation...

MERPS: One day I may pick a OSR rule set and convert some of the stuff in the MERPS book...

Marvel FASERIP/4C: I would like to do a Silver Age game of Marvel in the Marvel Universe of my Youth.

Star Frontiers: I have long considered doing a Star Frontiers/Transformers conversion...I'm telling you it would work...I saw it back in the late eighties and the game was near perfect...*sigh* that guy lost all his old notes...

*Sigh* if I had all the time in the world....Just think though soon my generation will be old 80 year olds in nursing home bidding our time, playing all the great games of our youth...
